WoW Threat

Removing threat from WoW. Oh, this is just silly. I don't even think it's necessarily a bad idea. But I lose all respect for this WoW team. Once again, they seem more driven by the 'unforeseen' consequences of their past actions than by conscious game design.

Oh Blizzard! Why don't you just make a new game when you want to make a new game !?

  1. Silly Nils, why go to all the effort to develop, market, and sell a new game when you have 11 million beta testers who are almost guaranteed to buy the new-but-not game?

  2. They really want to fix the issue of pugs being horrible while maintaining the easy accessibility and lack of consequences of cross-server LFD.

It's a reasonable approach to a somewhat untenable situation.

  3. I already wrote it in Tobold's topic - at this rate they might as well start dumping roles altogether. soon you got auto-bot tanking, healing and dps in that game, just because apparently it's too hard for some PuG to clear a dungeon...

    /sarcasm off

  4. Instead of accept that LFD tool is a failure they still try to improve it..there is no doubt that this change is only for LFD tool..

I play 6+ years the game and 80% of the game I was tank..there is no issue in threat really..even if you play with 3 buttons...

This is like they say to the dps players to tab through dungeon and hit whatever they like and the warrior to just thunder clap..

Now I don't have the desire to tank...how can I prove that I am a good tank and I don't just spam thunder clap?

  5. While i strongly dislike the threat changes it might be okay depending on what changes comes in the patch to promote a more active survivability playstyle for all tanks.

Personalt i would prefer if they keept the tanking abilitys as they are and made it harder to keep threat but easier threat and a more activ survivabilty rotation might be fun to.

Actually as a dps player, I'm really sick of having to actually target mobs and click buttons to damage mobs. Now that the tank can stand around near the mobs and automatically hold aggro, and since I'm sure the healer will shortly be able to keep a raid alive via some sort of passive aura, I think its completely unreasonable that I need to actually sit at my keyboard to kill stuff.

If wow doesn't make the dps job a bit easier, I'm going to quit.
