It just looks like he's been scraping the internet for blogs containing keywords that will help his sites rank high in Google if he can get a link from them. Most people ignore them, but a few don't and that's what makes it worth his time. Not that it takes up much of his time, as most of it usually automated.

I wouldn't say there's anything shady about it, he just wants a backlink to help his google rankings for one of his sites.gabbastormhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06091477162363684930noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7801344413612447717.post-797247697646837572011-10-30T17:31:26.027+01:002011-10-30T17:31:26.027+01:00Added some mail header information to the bottom o...Added some mail header information to the bottom of the post.Nilshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06468755466492675831noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7801344413612447717.post-27550254390339242652011-10-30T16:46:39.192+01:002011-10-30T16:46:39.192+01:00Well, they're certainly playing on the idea th...Well, they're certainly playing on the idea that a blogger's self-esteem is measured by his pageviews.

Though I didn't get an e-mail, and I'm certain you've already made your decision not to accept, the thing looks a bit shady. Also the wording is vague enough to be pre-written.Strawfellowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01575682856487531183noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7801344413612447717.post-53028370902220984942011-10-30T16:01:42.299+01:002011-10-30T16:01:42.299+01:00I got a similar email recently. Not sure if declining through email is wise unless you can verify they're actually who they say they are.Victor Stillwaterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14935630335959506840noreply@blogger.com
